We research hosting providers the way developers think about them — drawing on independent benchmarks, community data, and hands-on experience building and hosting real sites. No fluff. No sponsored rankings.
Every review is based on aggregated benchmarks, community feedback, and published data from credible sources — all cited within each review. Where we have personally used a provider, this is noted. We update ratings whenever providers change their service.
That's the part nobody mentions. A large share of the "top 10 hosting" sites you'll find are owned by the same corporate groups that own the hosts they rank — or funded by whoever pays the highest commission that quarter. The rankings move when the deals move.
We don't own a hosting company and we're not owned by one. We have no host to promote and no parent group to keep happy. That's the whole reason this site exists.
We're developers, not a media company that happens to cover hosting. We build and host real sites for real clients — WHM, WHMCS, DNS propagation headaches and 3am server fires are things we've dealt with personally, which is why we know what matters in a hosting plan and what's just a spec sheet.
Our reviews draw on aggregated data from GTmetrix, Pingdom, TrustPilot, G2, and WebHostingTalk — the hosting industry's largest professional community. Every source is credited. Every score is documented. Where we have personally used a provider, we say so. Where we're working from aggregated research, we say that too. Transparency is the whole point.
